A D R I E N L E V E Q U Eall of the time you wanna complain about the nights alone so now you're here with me, show some gratitude leave the attitude way back home
The dorm was almost dead silent, all thanks to the fact that neither one of his roommates were around - it was nice. Although Adrien was indeed alone, he was also incredibly bored. Normally on a Sunday night, he would either be working down at Pure Poison, or he would have work from his class to keep him busy. But tonight was different. Tonight, Adrien was free to do whatever he pleased without being interrupted. Of course, there was nothing to do or so he thought, until he signed on AIM and made plans with some girl he didn't even know. Well, barely knew.
The college student leaned back against the headboard of his bed as he stretched out his arms, slightly, before turning off his laptop. He pushed himself up from the bed and stifled a short yawn as his bare feet slid along the wooden floor boards, searching for something to wear. You see, Adrien was only dressed in a white wife-beater and a pair of dark blue plaid boxers, thinking he wouldn't be leaving the dorm tonight when he had pulled off his jeans, earlier. But, luckily, he had made plans with Alexis, when the two were chatting over AIM only a few minutes ago. So, considering he was bored out of his mind and had nothing to do, Adrien had offered to tag along with her to go to Maze.
Slipping his legs back into his jeans, he fiddled with the button while he moved to wards his closet, in search for a decent shirt or something along those lines. He dug around in one of the drawers before finding a simple white button down shirt. He pulled this on over his wife beater and buttoned it up, but purposely left a couple buttons at the top undone. Then he shifted over to his mirror, checking out his appearance while rolling the sleeves of his shirt up just below his elbows. Adrien poked at a few different spots of his hair before flashing a slight grin and a small wink in satisfaction at his reflection. He then turned on the heel of his foot, pulled his shoes on and left the dorm.
Patting down the pockets of his pants, Adrien made sure he had his wallet and keys with him, once he neared his car. He had made the mistake of forgetting his wallet at home once and, of course, he had meant to get a few groceries before heading back home from wherever he had been at the time.
Once outside, Adrien carelessly opened the door and slid into the drivers seat of his car - a black 1968 Firebird, his pride and joy. Well, not really, but he enjoyed having a snazzy car to cruise around in every once in a while. But it did get rather annoying when he was in tight spaces, like how some parking lots were designed - the parking spaces were never wide enough to fit his car in. So, he figured once this one started to get out of shape, Adrien would end up buying a smaller car as his next vehicle.
After cruising around for what seemed like an hour, Adrien finally reached the beach bar, where he had agreed to meet Alexis, and parked his car in an empty space. He slid out if the drivers side, his blue orbs scanning the area, and then hit a button on the small control pad for the car, causing the door to close and lock. Adrien had no idea what time it was, but he knew he hadn't taken too long, probably around twenty or thirty minutes, actually. He continued to entertain himself with his thoughts as he made a beeline for the bar, his intentions set on having a fun night.

Alexis had been bored out of her mind less than an hour ago. It wasn't actually like her at all to be bored, but there was one little problem that kept her from just going out - she had class the next day. Now all that would've been fine, if she had work, but for some stupid reason her boss told her to get some rest. He was probably just thanking her for all the help with the auditions, but she was kind of expecting a pay check for that. Not a day off. So the only option left really was to go out and skip class tomorrow. It probably wasn't a good idea, since she'd already skipped class way over the number that was ok in her mind.
So trying to get rid of the boredom, or find a solution to her little problem, Alexis had signed onto AIM. There, she talked to a guy she knew from Pure Poison- who apparently had the same problem - and they ended up with a plan to meet at Maze. Alexis quickly shut her black Sonny Vaio laptop, pushing it to the side of her bed. Her whole room was a mess, so she tried to keep it as neat as possible with little things like this. She picked out a simple, short, black dress, and black high heeled pumps to match. She never spent too much time getting ready - she was quick. After putting on the dress and shoes, Lex went to the bathroom to fix her hair and put some make-up on. She let her hair down, which was somewhat messy in a good way, created a smoky eye effect on her eyes, put the rest of the make-up on as well as that cherry chapstick that made her lips look naturally red, and added silver hoops to make the look complete. When she looked in the mirror - she was more than satisfied.
Alexis made her way to the door, grabbing her car keys and purse on the way. She knew she had some money, her cell phone, and probably some other things she didn't even need in that purse. She was forgetful like that, her things usually just stayed in her bags until she needed them again - even then, sometimes she just couldn't remember where she put them. Thank god, this wasn't the case.
Shortly after, Alex was already pulling up at the beach parking in her black cabriolet. Maze wasn't really that close to College, where she lived in her sorority house, but there wasn't much traffic, so she arrived quickly. She got out of her car, and made sure she'd locked it twice, then put the keys in her purse. It wasn't like anyone would really steal her car, there were so many better, more expensive cars around. But her brother had bought it for her, so she took good care of it. Running a hand through her hair, Alexis looked around. She could see from there that the beach club was pretty crowded, and she could hear the loud music. It was a song she didn't know, but she liked it, it made her want to dance. A smile spread across her face. She had a feeling it would be a fun night - hopefully she was right.
Making her way through the crowd, toward the bar, Alexis wondered how the hell she would find him. It was more crowded than she'd thought it would be, and it's not like she had his cell phone. She could always just pull a stunt, like dancing on the bar or something, then he'd notice her, but as she approached the bar, she realized there would be no need. "Hey you." she said, putting her hand on his shoulder, before sitting down at the barstool beside him. "Right on time, huh?" she added with a smile.
Alex crossed her legs, putting her purse on the bar. She turned back to him, raising her left eyebrow slightly for no reason at all. It was just something she did a lot with no real reason. He definitely looked great. In an effortless kind of way. She sure didn't regret meeting up here with him so far. She got the impression that he was a fun guy, so if she was right about that, too she wouldn't regret it any time soon. "I've got to say thanks for getting me out here. If it wasn't for you I probably would've stayed home."

As Adrien managed to manuver his way through the mob of people, he wondered if she was here yet and if he would be able to find her if she was. There were quite a few people around, so he couldn't imagine that he would be able to spot her from the crowd. Like circlets of June sky, Adrien's blue eyed gaze drifted over the bar, glowing with curiosity as he studied the few people who were already seated or mingling nearby. From what he gathered, she wasn't around yet. He assumed she was either on her way there or still getting ready - he understood it took women quite a bit longer to get ready. Adrien wasn't the impatient type of guy, so he really didn't mind it when a girl decided to take an hour or longer to ready herself. In the mean time, he decided to have a drink while waiting. Considering he was twenty-three, he didn't have to worry about carrying a fake I.D. on him. But, he knew probably about one third of the people there were under-aged and had a fake I.D. on them. Who didn't these days? Adrien seated himself on one of the barstools and pulled out his black leather wallet from the back pocket of his jeans. His focus averted to the bartender as he fished out a few bills, watching for an appropriate time to flag the bartender down for a drink. He leaned forward slightly, slipping the wallet back into his pocket - keeping his attention on the bartender as he worked his way down the bar.
As the tender finally began to move to wards him, Adrien shifted his weight on the barstool. He set his forearms on the bar, crossing them slightly as he leaned forward. He was about to yell to the bartender, to get his attention, until he felt the gentle touch of a hand on his shoulder, which caught him offguard, "Hey you." Adrien averted his attention to the figure beside him only to have a smirk crease his lips, "Hello," His voice was still thick with the french accent he was blessed with, but he spoke much more clearly than he had when he first arrived in America, "Right on time, huh?" Her voice matched the way he thought she would sound, perfectly - elegant and yet seductive - it suited her, "Yes, surprisingly." he gave a slight nod along with his response, now turning in his seat slightly to face her. She was stunning too look at, her eyes were what really caught his interest and she seemed to be a fun girl, from what he knew, "I've got to say thanks for getting me out here. If it wasn't for you I probably would've stayed home." Adrien shook his head lightly from side to side, "My pleasure, but if it wasn't for you I probably wouldn't be out either." he replied as the corner of his lips tugged back slightly, revealing partial bits of his teeth in the slanted smile. It was only then that he remembered the beverage he had been set on getting, "Can I buy you a drink?" he offered, raising his dark blond eyebrows slightly.

It seemed to Alexis that Maze was being more and more crowded. People were still coming, and no one seemed to be going. It was a great party atmosphere, and there was no way this night would be anything else but fun. The bar was kind of empty, though. Everyone seemed to be on their feet, dancing, talking, drinking, even making out. It wasn't quite the usual atmosphere at Maze - but it was great. Hopefully it would be like this more often.
Alexis could notice the accent in Adrien's voice from the moment he spoke to her. She wasn't sure, but to her it seemed like a french accent. And not one those that french people have when they speak bad english, the good one - the sexy one. "You're french." Lex said, a smile on her face. She wasn't really sure, so she gave a hint of that by raising her eyebrows slightly. Even she had a bit of an accent. Not really like his, but you could tell that she wasn't from around here, that she was from New York. "Yeah I'm full of surprises." she said in a joking kind of way, a small giggle escaping her cherry red lips. He was probably expecting her to be late, spend a long time getting ready, but Alexis wasn't that kind of girl.
She smiled, slowly leaning her elbows on the bar. She was leaning forward just a bit, her body turned slightly more toward Adrien than the bar. "Then..You're welcome." Alex said, a slight smirk spreading across her face. She was really glad that he was on AIM at that time. This was already so much better than sitting at home. Can I buy you a drink? She nodded, waving her hand at the bartender so he would come over. "I'll have a Cosmopolitan." she told him with a smile, then turned back to Adrien. "So..." Alexis started her sentence, then noticed her drink was ready. Slowly she took it in her hand and put it to her lips, to take a small sip of the pink liquid. She put it back down on the bar, and continued. "Tell me about yourself."

It was a Sunday night. The streetlights were on, and anybody looking at Maze from a distance would be dazzled by the array of lights coming from the beach bar. That was what Adrien liked about the bar, it felt welcoming in a snazzy sort of sense, except to those who were under aged, of course. But it's not like that stopped anyone from coming in. Going out on a Sunday night was not usually his thing, considering he normally spent it either working or doing something else to keep him occupied. He had also noticed that the television on Sundays was always much better than it seemed throughout the rest of the week, and he much preferred relaxing on his comfy bed with a beer or two rather than going out, getting wasted and then having the worst hangover ever to deal with the next morning in class.
"You're french." Well, it was clear he wouldn't be able to fool anyone around here if he ever wanted to. Adrien laughed softly at her assumption, nodding his head in addition to his response, "Yes, I am. How did you know?" he teased with a smirk, only joking around of course. Even though he assumed she was American, he noticed she also spoke differently than the people around here like she had a light accent, "You're not from around here either, are you?" he inquired, shifting his weight on the barstool slightly, "Yeah I'm full of surprises." Her giggling caused his smirk to grow, almost chuckling at her response. She had indeed surprised him with her punctuality. Most of the girls he knew took quite some time to get themselves ready, usually causing them to be a bit late, "Then..You're welcome." He matched her smirk once she spoke. If she hadn't been on AIM that night, Adrien would have most likely ended up staying inside, bored out of his mind. And he might have actually attempted reviewing his notes form class, which isn't something he did on a regular basis.
He averted his attention to the bartender once he came over, relieved that he didn't have to wait as long, "Scotch on the rocks for me." Adrien waited for the two drinks to be made up before he slid a few bills toward the bartender. "So... Tell me about yourself." He grasped the glass with one hand and raised it to his lips, tilting the glass slightly as he took a gulp of the drink while thinking over her request. It all really depended on what she wanted to know, but he figured he would start with the basics, "Alright, well... I was born and raised in Europe. France, to be exact. I moved here about... four years ago? Around there, and I'm in the process of looking for my own place, so I don't have to share a dorm with two other people for another year." Adrien laughed slightly as he tried to come up with anything interesting that was worth saying, but he couldn't think of anything momentarily, "And that's really all there is to know. Nothing exciting." he said with a smirk and took another swig of his scotch before setting the glass down on the bar, "What's your story?" he returned the question, shifting his gaze to meet hers.
